I am a family nurse practitioner with more than 15 years of nursing experience at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK.) I helped launch MSK’s Stuart Center for Adolescent and Young Adult (AYA) Cancers and am proud to be its founding nurse practitioner.
In this role, I care for young people with cancer, ages 15 to 39. I help them through the unique challenges of being diagnosed during a time when they are going to school, working, building relationships or starting families. I believe in caring for the whole person—not just the disease—and helping patients stay connected to their goals, relationships, and sense of self during and after treatment.
I use my training and experience to manage side effects from treatment, teach about fertility, family planning, and sexual health, and connect people to mental health support, integrative medicine options like touch therapy, yoga, acupuncture, and supplements, and peer support.
I am committed to raising awareness on the of importance young people getting the right care, including access to clinical trials, mental health resources, and guidance for life after treatment. I lead research on the financial impact of cancer for young adults, standardizing AYA care models, and educating nurses how best to care for AYAs.
I enjoy spending time with my family, including my three young daughters, and practicing yoga in the few free minutes I have.
