Clinical Nurse Supervisor
Diana Pelkaus, MSN, RN, OCN

I have been a registered nurse since 2009, starting my career at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK) in the Clinical Assistance Program. While working in the hospital, my passion for helping others grew. Throughout this time, I have gained oncology experience in urology surgery, symptom management, radiation therapy, and nursing leadership.

As a nursing leader, I am committed to supporting patients and their care partners in their cancer journey. I believe in personalized care that honors each individual’s cultural and personal beliefs. Communication is powerful and essential as a nurse in leadership. I actively listen to staff, patients, and care partners to optimize care.

I am proud of my Latvian heritage and encourage people to express their cultural and religious preferences during hospitalization. Those we treat often have diverse backgrounds, each with their own customs, values, and spiritual beliefs that can shape their healthcare experiences and decisions.

I am enthusiastic about blending eastern and western medicine - including herbs, supplements, and vitamins, to support overall well-being.

During my time outside of work, I value spending time with my children and family. I enjoy relaxing on the beach and practicing yoga.
