Laura L. Ardizzone , MS, MBA, DNP, CRNA

Director, CRNA Services
Laura L. Ardizzone

I am an advanced practice nurse (APP) with 30 years of experience. During my career I have worked in patient care, education, research, and healthcare leadership. My focus has been on patient safety while providing the best surgical experience possible.

I am dedicated to improving patient outcomes by making the healthcare system better. Over the years I have worked with many groups, including serving 2 terms on the National Quality Forum’s Patient Safety Steering Committee. The goal of this group is to make healthcare better and safer for everyone.

As a CRNA, I give patients medicines to keep them asleep and comfortable during surgery. I closely monitor them during this time to keep them safe.

My research is about creating a safe environment for patients before, during, and after surgery. I have also given talks in many countries to help promote high-quality surgical care all around the world.
