I am an advanced practice nurse with over 15 years of experience giving anesthesia to people during surgical or medical procedures. I make them drowsy or fall asleep, while ensuring everyone remains comfortable and safe. I am known as a certified registered nurse anesthetist (a-nes-THEE-tist).
At Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK), I have been an integral member of the Nurse Anesthetist Council. Our goal is to help people understand this profession, support new nurse anesthetists, and connect clinical staff with leadership. I also mentor students from New York City colleges and universities who want to become nurses.
When I am not in the operating room, I participate in community health events throughout Brooklyn, Queens, and Staten Island. I teach people about the importance of heart health, taking medicines, skin care, and what happens in the operating room during surgery. I help people take an active role in maintaining their health and wellness. My goal is to be an advocate for all in what can be an overwhelming healthcare space.
In my personal time, I am a mother of three, including an elderly dachshund. I am an avid sewist and have a passion for crafting clothes, costumes, and home décor for myself, family, and friends.
