A cancer diagnosis transforms your world and raises questions that deserve clear and compassionate answers. Hi, I'm Dr. Michael Foote, a medical oncologist at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, specializing in the treatment of gastrointestinal cancers. While I treat all GI cancers, my expertise focuses on treating colorectal and rare appendiceal cancers. My practice combines patient care with pioneering research.
With a background in genomics and immunology, I develop therapies in my lab that stimulate the immune system as well as target specific cancer proteins to treat these rare and aggressive cancers. I also lead several clinical trials to expand the possibility of treatments for my patients and others. My goal is to design treatments tailored for your cancer that work for a long time with minimal side effects. No matter how complex your diagnosis, I'll help you understand your journey in terms that make sense so that you're confident in what's ahead.
I care about what matters most to you, and we'll build a plan that aligns with your personal goals and values. At MSK, you'll benefit from our collaborative approach. Your team of experts includes surgical specialists, radiation oncologists, and integrative therapies, all working closely together to ensure comprehensive care that is uniquely tailored to you. I'm continually inspired by the strength and resilience of my patients. Every day, there are reasons to be optimistic about your future. As a scientist and doctor, I'm committed to furthering the world-class care that defines Memorial Sloan Kettering.
