Get to Know Me

I’m a medical oncologist with special training in the care of people with colon and rectal cancers. I see patients at the Rockefeller Outpatient Pavilion in Manhattan.

I became an oncologist because I wanted to help people and their families tackle the complexities of a cancer diagnosis. This includes learning about how the diagnosis will affect different aspects of your life and also understanding all available treatment options. I partner with you to develop a treatment plan that aligns best with your personal values and helps you maintain your quality of life both during and after cancer treatment.

Great progress has been made in cancer care, and more treatment options are now available. However, this can also be overwhelming. As your oncologist, it is my responsibility to help you navigate and select the best and latest therapies. To do this effectively, I believe it is important to be at the forefront of research.

As a clinician-investigator, I also develop and lead clinical trials to bring new and improved therapies to the clinic. I am passionate about this role because it allows me to push the boundaries of what is possible. It also provides me with the experience necessary to offer the latest therapies in a safe and evidence-based manner.

What I Do at MSK

I'm a gastrointestinal (GAS-troh-in-TES-tih-nul) medical oncologist, which is a cancer doctor who specializes in gastrointestinal (GI) cancers. This includes anal, colorectal, esophageal, gastric (stomach), liver, and pancreatic cancers. We also treat GI stromal tumors and neuroendocrine tumors.
