As a psychologist within Employee Health and Wellness and the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK), I provide essential psychological support to all employees. This includes offering short-term psychological assistance aimed at addressing immediate concerns and participating in institution-wide crisis intervention when necessary. My involvement in MSK extends beyond direct care; I play a crucial role in enhancing and creating initiatives focused on significantly increasing the availability and quality of mental health support for our employees.
In my care approach, I prioritize empathy, understanding, and evidence-based practices, tailoring psychological support to the unique needs of each individual. Acknowledging the diversity of backgrounds and challenges, I aim to foster a supportive environment that values and understands our employees. My work, grounded in the belief that mental health is vital for overall well-being, focuses on delivering effective interventions that address the specific stressors of working in healthcare, ensuring they resonate with our employees’ experiences.
My educational background and training have equipped me with a deep understanding of the complexities of human psychology, especially in the context of child and adolescent development. I completed my internship and post-doctorate fellowship at Mount Sinai Morningside Hospital (St. Luke’s-Roosevelt), where I focused on integrating clinical practices with family dynamics. I hold a PsyD in Child-Adolescent Clinical Psychology and an MSEd in School Psychology from Pace University, alongside an MA in Applied (Clinical) Psychology from Teachers College, Columbia University.
Through short-term support, crisis intervention, and strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing mental health resources, I am dedicated to fostering a culture of care, resilience, and psychological safety within the organization.
