Get to Know Me

I am a board-certified internist, medical oncologist, and hematologist with a primary focus and expertise in the treatment of patients with gastrointestinal cancers. I actively collaborate with a team of surgeons, radiation oncologists, radiologists, and pathologists to provide the most comprehensive and state-of-the-art care for our patients.

I see patients at MSK Monmouth.

Shortly after completing my training, I joined Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK), where I take care of patients with gastrointestinal malignancies including esophageal, gastric, liver, pancreatic, biliary, and colorectal cancers. I actively participate in biweekly meetings with my colleagues from the gastrointestinal oncology group in Manhattan and across other regional centers to deliver individualized and high-quality care. Molecular testing of tumors and appropriately directed therapies are available to our patients to ensure best outcomes. Due to my strong interest and background in both basic science and clinical research, I routinely discuss and enroll patients in available clinical trials open at MSK Monmouth. I also help guide patients towards clinical trials available only in Manhattan.

As a member of MSK’s oncology team in New Jersey, I strive to deliver comprehensive and quality care to people from the community by adhering to the common high standards across MSK. Treating cancer is not limited to the disease itself and includes many other psychological and social aspects of care, with continuous support of patients and their families along the way. Compassion, empathy, and guidance are essential elements of my practice. My main goal is to provide modernized care by incorporating recent advances in the field, close to our patients’ homes, in a warm and supportive environment.

What I Do at MSK

I'm a gastrointestinal (GAS-troh-in-TES-tih-nul) medical oncologist, which is a cancer doctor who specializes in gastrointestinal (GI) cancers. This includes anal, colorectal, esophageal, gastric (stomach), liver, and pancreatic cancers. We also treat GI stromal tumors and neuroendocrine tumors.

Disclosures

Members of the MSK Community often work with pharmaceutical, device, biotechnology, and life sciences companies, and other organizations outside of MSK, to find safe and effective cancer treatments, to improve patient care, and to educate the health care community. These activities outside of MSK further our mission, provide productive collaborations, and promote the practical application of scientific discoveries.

MSK requires doctors, faculty members, and leaders to report (“disclose”) the relationships and financial interests they have with external entities. As a commitment to transparency with our community, we make that information available to the public. Not all disclosed interests and relationships present conflicts of interest. MSK reviews all disclosed interests and relationships to assess whether a conflict of interest exists and whether formal COI management is needed.
