I am a nurse practitioner (NP) who works in Supportive Care. I have a passion for palliative care and I focus on the intersection of advanced illness and substance use disorder. I am committed to improving care for people facing complex medical and psychosocial challenges. This led me to pursue a post-master’s certificate in psychiatry and mental health.
I aim to provide compassionate, comprehensive support to patients and their families and to integrate mental health and substance use treatment into palliative care. I care for and support patients admitted to Memorial Hospital.
I have a background in critical care and started my nursing career in the intensive care unit for the Departments of Neurology and Emergency Medicine. I have a master’s in adult gerontology and have worked closely with indigenous populations in Hawaii, providing critical care in hospitals.
