Caring for the Oncology Patient Receiving Radiation Therapy

Nursing continuing professional development (NCPD) and certificate will be available after a post-course evaluation is complete.

Description

This program is designed to enable the nurse learner to accurately manage the side effects of radiation. The program will provide a foundation which the nurse learner will be able to use to educate patients and their families regarding the short and long-term side effects of radiation, as well as strategies to improve the patient’s quality of life.

Audience

New and experienced nurses who care for patients receiving radiation therapy

Credit

Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center–Nursing Professional Development /Continuing Education is accredited with distinction as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

7.25 contact hours will be awarded to participants who attend the entire program and complete a program evaluation. No partial credit will be awarded.

Cancellation/Refund Policy

A $75 administrative fee will be charged for all refunds. No refunds will be issued after the program registration deadline. Cancellations or no-shows after the program registration deadline are not eligible for a refund. MSK CNE reserves the right to cancel or postpone any course due to unforeseen circumstances. In the unlikely event, we must cancel or postpone this course, we will refund the registration fee in full, but are not responsible for any related costs, charges, or expenses to participants, including fees incurred by airline/travel/lodging agencies.
