Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK) today announced the following awards and appointments: 

Brendan Camellato Named a 2025 Jane Coffin Childs Fund for Medical Research Fellow

Brendan Camellato
postdoctoral research scholar, was selected for the 2025 Jane Coffin Childs (JCC) Fund for Medical Research Fellowship. Awardees are selected based on their doctoral research accomplishments, innovative research plans, and their chosen scientific mentors. Dr. Camellato was selected for his research recording cell states and signaling events to reveal cell fate decisions during pancreatic islet differentiation.

Virgilio Sacchini Received the 2025 McKim Medal

Virgilio Sacchini
Virgilio Sacchini, MD, breast surgeon, was awarded the McKim Medal. The McKim Medal recognizes individuals whose vision and excellence in their fields have had a global impact and who have contributed to multidisciplinary dialogue among the arts, humanities, and sciences.

 

 

Corey Weistuch Awarded the 2025 Outsmarting Osteosarcoma Hero Grant

 

Corey Weistuch

Corey Weistuch, PhD, physicist, received the 2025 Outsmarting Osteosarcoma Hero Grant from the  Making It Better (MIB) Agents. The grant is supported by MIB Agents Family Funds, osteosarcoma patients and families who raise funds in honor of an OsteoWarrior, a patient currently battling osteosarcoma, or an OsteoAngel, a loved one who has passed.

 

Alexandre Troullioud Lucas Awarded the 2025 Hyundai Hope Scholar Grant

 

Alexandre Troullioud Lucas

Alexandre Troullioud Lucas, MD, MSc, pediatric hematologist-oncologist, received the 2025 Hyundai Hope Scholar Grant from Hyundai Hope on Wheels. Dr. Lucas was honored for his project, “Deciphering Anti-leukemic Immunity after Allogeneic Hematopoietic Cell Transplantation for Acute Myeloid Leukemia.”

 

Paul Klauser Selected for the Damon Runyon Cancer Research Foundation Quantitative Biology Fellowship

Paul Klauser, research fellow, was one of five early-career scientists selected for the Damon Runyon Cancer Research Foundation Quantitative Biology Fellowship. This award supports early-career scientists who use advanced computational tools to answer key questions in cancer biology through large-scale data collection, mathematical modeling, and quantitative analysis.

Tsvi Gal Named to Constellation Research’s prestigious 2025-26 Artificial Intelligence 150

Tsvi Gal

Tsvi Gal, Chief Technology Officer and Head of Enterprise Technology, was named to Constellation Research’s Artificial Intelligence 150 (AI150) list, which recognizes top global executives who are leading AI transformation efforts across their organization and industry.

 

 

Prasad Adusumilli Presented with the Outstanding Achievement Award

Prasad Adusumilli
Prasad Adusumilli, MD, FACS, received the Outstanding Achievement Award from the Society of American Asian Scientists in Cancer Research (SAASCR) for his seminal contributions to the field of cancer research.

 

 

 

Nai-Kong Cheung Awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award

Nai-Kong Cheung
Nai-Kong Cheung, MD, PhD, pediatric hematologist-oncologist, received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Advances in Neuroblastoma Research Association (ANRA). Dr. Cheung was recognized for decades of groundbreaking work in neuroblastoma treatment.

 

 

MSK Received 2025 Practice Greenhealth Top 25 Environmental Excellence Award by Practice Greenhouse

For the tenth consecutive year, MSK’s Sustainability Program was named one of the top 25 hospital programs in the U.S. by Practice Greenhealth. The Top 25 Environmental Excellence Awards is the organization’s highest honor for hospitals and recognizes hospitals leading in sustainability performance and embedding sustainability into their institutional culture.

MSK Named to America’s Best Hospitals for Specialized Care 2025 List by Newsweek

MSK was included in Newsweek’s 2025 list of America’s Best Hospitals Specialized Care. This list recognizes the best hospitals within the United States for cancer care, cardiac care, neurological care, orthopedic care, endocrine care, and pulmonary care.

MSK Named to America’s Greatest Workplaces 2025 List by Newsweek

MSK was recognized by Newsweek as one of America’s Greatest Workplaces in 2025. Newsweek partnered with Plant-A Insights Group to analyze over 400,000 confidential employee interviews, 4.9 million in-depth company reviews, and more than 120 key performance indicators related to workplace excellence and employee satisfaction.

MSK Named to America’s Best Children’s Hospitals 2025 List by Newsweek

Newsweek named MSK to its 2025 list of America’s Best Children’s Hospitals. Developed in collaboration with Statista, the list is based on surveys of 10,000 medical professionals and hospital managers, along with hospital quality metrics, patient satisfaction scores, and outcomes data. The list highlights leading hospitals across eight pediatric specialties, including oncology.
