I joined MSK as the Therapeutic Medical Physics Residency Program Director in 2024 with the hope of transforming education institutionally and more broadly within the field of medical physics. In this role, I leverage more than a decade of experience developing as a teacher and educational scholar, including two years as residency program director at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. In my teaching, I am a firm believer in evidence-based methods that rely on the learning sciences, but I also emphasize the intrinsic value of each learner and their quality of life.
My clinical activities at MSK currently focus on quality improvement and the implementation of new commercial software tools, and my research interests include bioethics, education research, and dosimetry (including small and nonstandard fields as well as ultra-high dose rate measurements). I lead and participate in multiple national committees in the American Association of Physicists in Medicine related to education, ethics, and the future of medical physics.
