I am an assistant attending physicist in the Department of Medical Physics, supporting clinical quality assurance of diagnostic imaging modalities, with an expertise in patient-specific CT dosimetry. After earning my PhD in 2016, I joined the medical physics residency program at Memorial Sloan Kettering for clinical training and research in the field of radiation safety. Upon finishing my residency in 2020, I was privileged to join the faculty of the department.
My research has focused on accurate and patient-specific radiation dosimetry from diagnostic procedures such as CT using Monte Carlo method and realistic anthropomorphic phantoms. I have investigated occupational radiation dosimetry with motion capture technology for fluoroscopic staff and collaborated in the development of the VirtualDoseTM software dedicated for estimation of radiation dose from CT and fluoroscopy. I am interested in automated patient-specific radiation dosimetry across various diagnostic modalities, occupational radiation dosimetry with data mining and machine learning technology, and computer-aided image analysis for quality assurance and for specific disease detection.
