More about 5hmC-seq

  • While EM-seq allows the detection of both the 5mC and 5hmC DNA modifications undistinguishably, 5hmC-seq is a new method for the specific detection of the 5hmC DNA modification at the single base level.
  • As with EM-seq, Enzymatic 5hmC-seq (E5hmC-seq) uses an enzyme-based method to specifically detect 5hmC, without the DNA damage typical of bisulfite-based methods, and this sensitive method can be used with as little as 0.1 ng of input DNA.
