
The Summer Exposure Program is a hybrid remote and onsite six-week research program at Memorial Sloan Kettering offered to students in grades 9 through 11 who are interested in pursuing a career in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math. Members of groups historically underrepresented in medicine and science (including but not limited to individuals from underrepresented racial and ethnic groups, women, individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds, and persons with disabilities) are strongly encouraged to apply. Participants will:
- Get 18 hours of Kaplan SAT courses
- Receive mentorship from a MSK faculty member and MSK Summer Pipeline Medical Student
- Attend a series of scientific lectures, career panels, and hands-on demonstrations
- Complete a five-minute research presentation or case study at the end of the program and will have a draft of their college essay personal statement

Frequently Asked Questions
We expect students to be available between – (lunch break included) Monday through Friday.
The program is hybrid. There will be occasional onsite workshops, lunch and learns, and meetings with mentors onsite.
Absences are permitted for sick and emergent reasons.

One letter of recommendation is required; two are optional. Letters should be written by someone who can speak to your character i.e. a mentor, teacher, counselor, etc.
