As the Director of Early Stage Lung Cancer Research, I’m deeply invested in the personalization of curative lung cancer care. For my patients, that means that every treatment is tailored to your specific cancer. As research advances bring more therapies to patients with advanced lung cancer, I lead a tireless team that moves these treatments into the early-stage setting, to improve outcomes for patients.
Hi, I’m Dr. Jamie Chaft, and I’m a thoracic medical oncologist at Memorial Sloan Kettering. I’m privileged to provide care in both our New York and New Jersey clinics, allowing patients to receive world-class MSK care, close to home.
When you’re diagnosed with lung cancer, it’s completely understandable to want to begin treatment as soon as possible. It’s my job to ensure we perform proper biopsies and expedite your test results, understand the unique makeup of your tumor—so we can design a treatment plan that’s truly customized with the best chance to fight your specific cancer diagnosis.
While I’ll guide you through the best medical options – targeted treatment, immunotherapy or chemotherapy – your treatment plan is always a team effort. Our approach includes a care team of highly specialized surgeons, radiation oncologists, and pulmonologists delivering thoughtful, coordinated care... all designed to prioritize your healing.
My greatest pleasure is hearing your goals, understanding your priorities, and knowing about all the things that bring meaning to your life. I’ll always listen carefully and support you throughout your journey. Your story matters to me, and I’m honored to be your doctor.
