My life's work is treating and often curing cancer by offering the highest-level care for my patients with colorectal cancer. Hi, I'm Dr. Martin Weiser, a surgical oncologist at Memorial Sloan Kettering. Colorectal cancer can be complex and requires precision. That's why I often operate with minimally invasive and robotic techniques to ensure the cancer is completely removed while preserving critical structures such as nerves, that play an important role in bowel, bladder, and sexual function. For as long as I can remember, I've wanted to be a doctor, helping people through a significant health challenge. The good news is that this is often very treatable.
Here at Memorial Sloan Kettering, we continually explore and study emerging treatments that offer patients fewer side effects and stronger outcomes. I have a passion for scientific research, writing, engaging in clinical trials, and teaching globally. Beyond fixing the problem with the best care possible, I empower my patients with knowledge. We have ongoing conversations so that your questions are answered and you fully understand your situation. We'll explore the options available to you and make decisions together to create a clear view of your treatment path so you can get back to living your best life.
