Get to Know Me

I am a physician-scientist who focuses on improving our understanding of the immune and inflammatory systems. I began my medical career in the tri-institutional MD-PhD program at Weill Cornell Medicine, The Rockefeller University, and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK) and then went on to train as a clinical resident in pathology at Stanford Health Care.

At MSK, I lead a research laboratory in which we aim to combine clinical insights with basic research to understand how the immune and inflammatory systems are normally regulated, how they go awry in disease, and how we might control these systems to treat diseases like cancer. Clinically, I work within the clinical immunology group, where we use flow cytometry (a technique that detects and measures physical and chemical characteristics of a population of cells or particles) to evaluate patients’ immune cells.

What I Do at MSK

I'm a pathologist, which is a doctor who uses a microscope to make a diagnosis from cell and tissue samples. I analyze these samples to learn the cause and effects of a health issue.

As a commitment to transparency with our community, we make that information available to the public. Not all disclosed interests and relationships present conflicts of interest. MSK reviews all disclosed interests and relationships to assess whether a conflict of interest exists and whether formal COI management is needed.
