Audree B. Tadros, MD, MPH, FACS
Breast Surgeon
My Role at MSKWe post reviews for MSK healthcare providers who have at least 30 patient experience surveys completed. If you do not see reviews for a provider, it may be because they do not yet have enough survey responses, or the provider may not be part of the group of healthcare providers included in the survey.
Only outpatient providers are included in the survey. Healthcare providers who only work in the hospital or in urgent care are not included in the survey. Pathologists or researchers who do not provide direct care to patients do not have reviews.

About Me
- Jeanne A. Petrek Junior Faculty Chair
I am a surgeon whose expertise is in treating breast cancer. I have special training in oncoplastic breast cancer surgery. This means I can offer my patients the best possible cosmetic outcomes while effectively treating their disease, particularly for people undergoing a lumpectomy.
I also have extensive experience in working with my colleagues in medicine and radiation oncology to care for people with inflammatory breast cancer. I consider it a great privilege to partner with my patients and their families as they confront a breast cancer diagnosis.

As a breast cancer surgeon, it is my job to equip everyone I care for with the knowledge they need to confidently make informed decisions regarding their treatment plan. I understand that a breast cancer diagnosis and subsequent treatments are overwhelming. My team and I do everything we can to make the experience as seamless as possible.
I also use my clinical expertise to offer my patients options that can reduce their discomfort. One example is radioactive seed localization. This technique involves inserting a tiny seed, rather than a wire, into the breast before surgery to mark abnormal tissue.
My research efforts involve looking at treatment responses in people with triple-negative breast cancer and HER2-positive disease who received chemotherapy prior to surgery. I have also studied the reduction in local recurrence rates among inflammatory breast cancer patients who were treated with chemotherapy, surgery, and radiation therapy. This information is important for improving the way we treat breast cancer and, ultimately, leading to better outcomes for our patients.
My goal is that all the patients I see walk away with a sense of confidence, knowing they have a physician and team who are 100 percent supportive in meeting their needs along their breast cancer journey.
A breast surgeon is a doctor with special training in surgery on breasts.
