Get to Know Me

I am an anesthesiologist with sub-specialization in pain management. I provide treatment for both cancer and non-cancer pain to patients at MSK Commack and MSK’s main facility, in Manhattan, with a focus on procedural interventions and medication management. This includes utilizing procedures such as ultrasound or x-ray guided nerve and joint injections, radio frequency nerve ablations, and electrical stimulation aimed at alleviating pain. My goal is to improve the quality of life for patients during and after their cancer treatment.

I also perform anesthesiology for surgeries in the operating room at MSK and serve as an instructor for physician trainees in anesthesiology and pain management.

I completed a 6-year combined undergraduate and medical school degree at the University of Missouri, where I graduated with honors. Then, I completed my anesthesiology residency at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center/Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts. I further sub-specialized in pain management at the Weill Cornell Tri-institutional Pain Fellowship, where I was fortunate enough to experience training at Memorial Sloan Kettering. This allowed me to develop the skills for treating cancer-related pain.

What I Do at MSK

I'm an anesthesiologist at MSK. An anesthesiologist (a-nes-THEE-zee-AH-loh-jist) is a doctor with special training in medicine to make you drowsy or sleep during your surgery or procedure. They monitor your vital signs while you're asleep.

I'm a pain management doctor, with special training in diagnosing and treating pain.

Disclosures

Members of the MSK Community often work with pharmaceutical, device, biotechnology, and life sciences companies, and other organizations outside of MSK, to find safe and effective cancer treatments, to improve patient care, and to educate the health care community. These activities outside of MSK further our mission, provide productive collaborations, and promote the practical application of scientific discoveries.

MSK requires doctors, faculty members, and leaders to report (“disclose”) the relationships and financial interests they have with external entities. As a commitment to transparency with our community, we make that information available to the public. Not all disclosed interests and relationships present conflicts of interest. MSK reviews all disclosed interests and relationships to assess whether a conflict of interest exists and whether formal COI management is needed.
