Get to Know Me

I have practiced as a hospitalist at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK) since 2008 and thrive on providing comprehensive, compassionate care. Along with my team of housestaff, nurse practitioners (NPs), and physician assistants, I specialize in caring for people with solid tumors such as gastrointestinal cancers or gynecologic cancers, who are hospitalized.

In addition to internal medicine, I am board-certified in hospice and palliative care and work with a team of fellows (including medical doctors and NPs) to care for patients admitted at Memorial Hospital and improve their quality of life.

I enjoy teaching our housestaff and was awarded MSK’s Dorothy White Division of General Medicine Teacher of the Year Award in 2019. As a leader for the Hospital Medicine service, I was the Deputy Service chief from 2020-2025 overseeing the daytime operations and faculty of the Hospital Medicine Service in coordination with our Service Chief, Dr. Barbara Egan. In July 2025, I stepped into the inaugural role of Medical Director of Quality and Safety. In this role, I lead safety event analysis, patient safety initiatives, process optimization, and educational programming to develop future leaders in cancer healthcare quality.

Serving as a strategic liaison between the Division of Quality and Safety and clinical departments, I champion a culture of safety, transparency, and continuous improvement. I am also responsible for developing a comprehensive quality and safety curriculum for trainees and mentoring the next generation of quality leaders to ensure sustainable adoption of high-reliability behaviors across the enterprise.

Since 2022, I’ve served as IQAC (Interdisciplinary Quality Assurance Committee) Chair and QQL (Quarterly Quality Leads) Chair leading the committees in discussing patient safety events and presenting quality assurance reviews.

Disclosures

Members of the MSK Community often work with pharmaceutical, device, biotechnology, and life sciences companies, and other organizations outside of MSK, to find safe and effective cancer treatments, to improve patient care, and to educate the health care community. These activities outside of MSK further our mission, provide productive collaborations, and promote the practical application of scientific discoveries.

MSK requires doctors, faculty members, and leaders to report (“disclose”) the relationships and financial interests they have with external entities. As a commitment to transparency with our community, we make that information available to the public. Not all disclosed interests and relationships present conflicts of interest. MSK reviews all disclosed interests and relationships to assess whether a conflict of interest exists and whether formal COI management is needed.
