Get to Know Me

I am a radiation oncologist with special training in the treatment of brain tumors and genitourinary cancers. Some of the most common conditions I treat include:

I am an expert in the latest radiation therapy techniques, including external beam radiotherapy, radiosurgery, and stereotactic body radiotherapy. I see patients at Memorial Hospital and the David H. Koch Center for Cancer Care at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City.

I also lead a research laboratory that studies clinical outcomes and epidemiology for many types of cancers. I mainly focus on the molecular classification of adult gliomas and clinical or molecular markers that predict response to therapy.

As part of a research grant from the American Association for Suicide Prevention, I am studying factors that may increase the risk of suicide in men with prostate cancer. I am a member of NRG Oncology, a national group that designs clinical trials.

I am a New York City native, though I have also trained in Louisville, Memphis, Lexington, Santo Domingo (Dominican Republic), Medellin (Colombia), Philadelphia, Palo Alto, San Diego, Chicago, and Rome (Italy). I completed my medical education and training at Columbia University/NewYork-Presbyterian.

My passion is in clinical radiation oncology and cancer research. When I am not working, I enjoy skiing, baseball, and going to the opera.
