Get to Know Me

I am a radiation oncologist with special training in the treatment of brain tumors and blood cancers. I care for people with primary and secondary brain tumors, lymphoma, multiple myeloma, and leukemia. I see patients at Memorial Sloan Kettering Nassau on Long Island.

My goal is to combine the latest and most precise radiation techniques with thoughtful care to help patients and their families navigate these diagnoses.

I was drawn to cancer care because I believe it is a privilege to support patients and their families during some of the most challenging times in their lives. I believe in clear communication and partnering with my patients to make decisions about their care. No two patients are the same. I take the time to explain treatment options, answer questions, and work closely with each patient to develop a unique plan.

I also work closely with different experts including medical oncologists, neurosurgeons, hematologists, and radiologists. This helps us deliver comprehensive and coordinated care for my patients. The true multidisciplinary approach is one of the defining strengths of MSK, and it is a privilege to practice in an environment where patients benefit from a high level of collective expertise.

My academic journey began at Harvard University, where I trained in molecular biology and neuroscience. After dual MD and PhD training at Weill Cornell, I completed my residency and two fellowships in radiation oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK).

Beyond the clinic, I have a passion to improve treatments for brain tumors through research. My research has two primary goals. First, I aim to reduce the side effects of brain radiotherapy by understanding how radiation impacts brain tissue and the immune microenvironment. Our studies aim to identify new pathways for delivering the best treatments while reducing harmful side effects.

Second, I am also involved in early-stage clinical studies to understand how we can integrate radiotherapy to improve therapies such as CAR T cells, immunomodulators, and targeted agents for CNS tumors. My research has clear, practical goals to not only improve the effectiveness of treatments, but also to preserve quality of life for patients during and after therapy.

I am deeply grateful to work at MSK, where patients benefit from access to world-class care, and the latest treatments and clinical trials that are often unavailable elsewhere. The opportunity to contribute to an institution that combines scientific discovery with compassionate, patient-centered care is both humbling and inspiring. Each day, I am motivated by the chance to offer patients not only the latest advances in radiation therapy but also the reassurance that they are supported by a team of experts who are fully invested in their well-being.

When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my family, whether that is coaching my three children in youth sports, helping them with their garden, or spending summer days together in the park. These personal passions help me bring energy, focus, and empathy to my work as a physician and researcher.
