Get to Know Me

I am a board-certified urologic surgeon who specializes in treating prostate cancer. I care for people at all stages of the disease, from low-risk prostate cancer to more advanced cases. I see patients at the Sidney Kimmel Center for Prostate and Urologic Cancers in New York City.

I work closely with a team of experts, including doctors in radiology, pathology, medical oncology, and radiation oncology. Together, we develop complete and personalized treatment plans that are backed by the latest research. My goal is to deliver the most effective cancer treatment while maintaining quality of life and function.

This provider is part of a team that was ranked #1 in the nation for Urology Cancer Care this year by U.S. News & World Report.

One of the most meaningful parts of my work is getting to know my patients and their families. I take the time to listen, answer questions, and to make sure that each person I care for feels supported medically and emotionally. When patients and their loved ones fully understand their diagnosis, treatment options, and what to expect, we can make decisions together that reflect what matters most to them.

My research focuses on improving how we diagnose and treat cancer, advancing our understanding of cancer genetics, and finding better ways to match the right treatment to the right person. I am especially interested in how inherited and tumor-specific mutations affect how cancer grows and responds to treatment. This knowledge helps us move toward more precise and personalized treatment, especially for those with higher genetic risk.

Whether I am in the operating room, the clinic, or the lab, my mission is to deliver cancer treatment that is grounded in science, shaped by experience, and guided by compassion.

I'm a urologic surgeon, which is a doctor with special training in surgery on the genitourinary (jeh-nih-toh-YOOR-ih-nayr-ee). (GU) system includes the bladder, kidney, penis, prostate, and testicles.
