Get to Know Me

I am a radiologist with subspecialty training in body magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). I am privileged to serve people with cancer who come to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center for their care.

My responsibilities involve reading MRI, computed tomography (CT), and ultrasound images. I have an interest in MRI for diagnosing and staging tumors in the chest, abdomen, and pelvis. People with cancer often require timely and accurate imaging; I am committed to providing this for each person.

As a member of MSK’s Colorectal Disease Management Team, I work with many oncologists and surgeons. Together, we diagnose, stage, and treat people with colorectal cancer. I am also a member of MSK’s Gynecologic and Urology Disease Management Teams, which leads me to work closely with my colleagues in medical oncology, surgery, radiation oncology, and pathology. Our collective goal is to provide the best evidence-based care to individuals with cancer by combining our expertise.

My clinical work is driven by advanced imaging diagnostics and is founded upon translational research and education. By doing translational research, what we discover in research is ultimately put into practice. My current research interests include radiomics and radiogenomics in rectal cancer. This involves using advanced computer software to discover imaging features in MRI that are not visible to the human eye and correlate with gene expression. This information can be incredibly useful for assessing risk and tailoring treatment.

I also am very involved in medical education. I served as Associate Training Program Director and Training Program Director for MSK’s oncology imaging fellowship in the Department of Radiology. I was awarded the 2017 Department of Radiology Teaching Excellence Award for teaching and mentorship, which have been a passion of mine throughout my career.

As a commitment to transparency with our community, we make that information available to the public. Not all disclosed interests and relationships present conflicts of interest.
