Get to Know Me

As a thoracic medical oncologist, my goal is to bring hope to my patients with lung cancer and provide them with the best treatment options possible. I work with a world-class interdisciplinary team to deliver the best care to patients during an especially vulnerable time.

I also study how biomedical data can improve cancer therapy effectiveness and minimize side effects. I lead MSK’s Clinical Data Mining Team, which includes a group of engineers, data scientists, graduate students, and postdoctoral fellows.

Together, we work to harness artificial intelligence to predict how patients will respond to cancer treatments and discover ways to improve their quality and length of life. We have led large, multi-center and international studies of how tumor genomics affect patient outcomes and ways that new technologies such as liquid biopsies might improve cancer care.

What I Do at MSK

I'm a thoracic medical oncologist, which is a cancer doctor who specializes in thoracic (thor-A-sik) cancers. These are cancers that have to do with the chest, including lung, tracheal (windpipe), and thymic (thymus) cancers.
