Get to Know Me
I have been a practicing physician for more than 30 years. I have substantial experience in both inpatient and outpatient care, as well as extensive teaching experience of residents, medical students, and advance practice providers.
Over the last decade, I have focused primarily on the acute medical needs of people facing behavioral and psychiatric challenges. At the University of Rochester Medical Center, where I held a dual appointment in the medicine and psychiatry departments, I was heavily involved in curriculum development. I devised a team-based, multidisciplinary approach to facilitate inpatient care, which I incorporate as hospitalist at MSK.
My medical training began at MSK. I met my husband here and New York City is where I started a family. The level of commitment and dedication of MSK clinicians has resonated with me throughout my career and is a large reason why I have decided to return as a hospitalist. I am first and foremost a doctor. I value each and every patient I care for and value being at an institution where this sentiment is felt universally.
In addition, I am a serious classical pianist. I started playing when I was five years old and have attended the Juilliard and Eastman schools of music. I continue to study and perform both as soloist and in collaboration with vocalists and instrumentalists. My musical development and expression is an integral component of my personal and professional identity. I am very interested in the intersectionality between medicine and the humanities, not just between music and medicine.
