Get to Know Me

I am a pediatric oncologist who specializes in the treatment of children and young adults with leukemia and lymphoma. The MSK Kids team treats these cancers using individualized combinations of drugs tailored to the genetic features of each child’s tumor. Depending on the type of cancer, treatment can take months to years to complete. I am with my patients and their families every step of the way.

I also serve as Service Chief for Memorial Sloan Kettering’s Pediatric Translational Medicine Service. Through this precision medicine program, we analyze the genetic features of every young patient’s cancer to identify mutations or other molecular changes that may be driving the cancer’s growth. We use the results to find the most-effective therapies, customizing treatment for each child’s cancer. This program also has an important research component. Our doctors work with investigators to develop new therapies and conduct clinical trials for all types of pediatric cancer.

At Memorial Sloan Kettering, patients and their families benefit from the years of expertise shared by our doctors and researchers, and from the high volume of patients we care for, people with every type of childhood cancer. I work as part of a dedicated team that brings together surgeons, radiologists, radiation oncologists, nurses, psychiatrists, social workers, and others with a shared commitment to providing the best possible care for every child.
