Get to Know Me

I am a medical oncologist whose clinical practice is devoted to caring for people with gastrointestinal and endocrine cancers, including neuroendocrine tumors, adrenal cancer, colorectal cancer, pancreatic cancer, and other gastrointestinal cancers.

I am part of a team of experts from different areas of expertise including surgeons, radiation therapists, and other specialists who share my goal of providing compassionate patient care. We work together to determine the best treatment plan for our patients.

My research focuses on advancing our treatments for neuroendocrine cancers (a rare group of tumors that often begin in the body’s digestive organs) as well as adrenocortical cancers. In addition, I am studying ways to improve our understanding of how neuroendocrine tumors change at the genetic level over time and as a result of different treatments. The goal of this work is to better personalize our care for people with these cancers. My work has been recognized and supported by the American Society of Clinical Oncology and Neuroendocrine Tumor Research Foundation. Nationally, I serve on the Neuroendocrine Tumor Task Force of the National Cancer Institute.

What I Do at MSK

I'm a gastrointestinal (GAS-troh-in-TES-tih-nul) medical oncologist, which is a cancer doctor who specializes in gastrointestinal (GI) cancers. This includes anal, colorectal, esophageal, gastric (stomach), liver, and pancreatic cancers. We also treat GI stromal tumors and neuroendocrine tumors.
