Get to Know Me
I am an infectious disease physician with expertise in treating opportunistic infections in immunocompromised patients. These infections may result from the cancer itself, or from the various cancer treatments. I work closely with my patients, monitoring them during their inpatient hospital stays and in then in the outpatient setting.
My research interests include infectious disease epidemiology in the era of newer and more innovative cancer therapies. I am also interested in studying the immunoepidemiology of certain cancer-causing viruses like HIV.
I'm an infectious (in-FEK-shuhs) disease specialist. This is a doctor with special training in diseases caused by microorganisms (bacteria, fungi, parasites, and viruses).
