Get to Know Me

My name is Dr. Quinlan “Quinn” Sievers and I am a physician-scientist on the Lymphoma Service at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK). I spend part of my time caring for people with lymphoma who are admitted to the hospital, and the other part of my time conducting research in the labs of Dr. Omar Abdel-Wahab at MSK and Katya Vinogradova at Rockefeller University.

In the Abdel-Wahab lab, I am studying how drugs that target a protein called BTK kill cancer cells. In the Vinogradova lab, I am using gene editing tools to identify new drug targets in T cells, a type of immune cell that can help fight cancer.

In addition to caring for patients, my goal is to eventually run my own laboratory where we develop new treatments that help people with lymphoma live longer and live better.

What I Do at MSK

I'm a lymphoma specialist, which is a doctor with special training in diagnosing and treating lymphoma (lim-FOH-muh). This cancer starts in the cells of the immune system.
