Get to Know Me

As an infectious diseases specialist, I provide thorough care for people with a wide range of infections. I focus on people who are receiving treatment for cancer, including transplants, which can lower immunity and make people more likely to get infections.

I see patients at Memorial Hospital, the main hospital of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, in New York City.

My experience includes the prevention, diagnosis, and management of bacterial, viral, fungal, and parasitic infections in patients whose immunity is compromised.

I work closely with oncologists and transplant teams to deliver antimicrobial therapy, take preventive measures to control infections or diseases, and guide vaccination strategies that are tailored to each person’s unique risks.

I believe in working closely with other teams and delivering precise care that focuses on the person. I believe that managing infections in people whose immunity is compromised requires not only the latest medical knowledge but also careful coordination across specialties. This helps to make sure we get the safest and most effective results.

By combining actual data with an understanding of each patient’s specific treatment course, I aim to balance infection control with the overall goals of cancer therapy and recovery.

In addition to direct patient care, I have a strong interest in antimicrobial stewardship, which involves making sure that antibiotics, antifungals, and antivirals are used wisely to improve results while reducing resistance and side effects.

I find it deeply rewarding to help people facing complex infectious disease challenges navigate their treatment while maintaining quality of life. My goal is to provide thoughtful care that reduces infection risk, supports healing, and empowers patients and their families during difficult times.
