Get to Know Me

I am a hematologist-oncologist specializing in the care of people with lymphoma. This includes:

I am honored to be a core member of the Lymphoma Service at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK), where I am dedicated to providing world-class, personalized, and humanistic care to patients facing a lymphoma diagnosis.

My main goal when meeting new patients is to establish a partnership. A diagnosis of lymphoma can be frightening. I make it my priority to learn the individual goals of my patients and their families, explain the diagnosis and treatment options, and listen to and answer questions. It is important to me that my patients feel comfortable as we embark on their care journey together.

I value teamwork not only with my patients, but also with my MSK colleagues. At MSK, I am fortunate to work on a multidisciplinary team with other lymphoma specialists, advanced practice providers, nurses, and social workers. We are all dedicated to providing comprehensive care (care for the whole patient, not just their medical needs).

The treatment of lymphoma is continually advancing, and I am proud to be at the forefront of defining new treatments for lymphoma. I design and lead clinical trials of new drugs and strategies for the treatment of lymphoma, in particular Hodgkin lymphoma and certain rare lymphomas, such as T-cell lymphomas and cutaneous lymphomas. I work within an active, renowned team of expert cancer doctors and scientists to lead clinical trials designed to make treatments better, improve quality of life, and change the lives of people with lymphoma for the better.

Outside of work, I enjoy quality time with my family, bike riding in Central Park, and vacationing in Maine.
