Get to Know Me

I am a board-certified medical oncologist who specializes in the treatment of gastrointestinal cancers including:

My main goal is to provide exceptional and evidence-based care for people with these diseases. In addition, as a clinical investigator, I lead research efforts to develop new therapies for people with neuroendocrine, bile duct, and other gastrointestinal cancers, including clinical trials of new targeted therapies and immunotherapies.

My interest in cancer biology and genetics motivated me to pursue a career in gastrointestinal medical oncology. Through my medical training, I have developed experience in both laboratory-based and clinical research. These experiences help me develop individual treatment plans for my patients based on the molecular biology of their disease, as well as new clinical trials for people with gastrointestinal cancers.

It is an incredible privilege to take care of people diagnosed with cancer, often one of the more difficult times of their lives. I strive to make treatment decisions together with my patients, and then walk with them each step of the way through diagnosis and treatment. I work closely with a team of specialists including surgeons, radiation oncologists, interventional radiologists, and nuclear medicine specialists who specialize in gastrointestinal cancers to provide personalized care to my patients.
