Sarah Kim, MD, FACOG
Gynecologic Surgeon
My Role at MSKWe post reviews for MSK healthcare providers who have at least 30 patient experience surveys completed. If you do not see reviews for a provider, it may be because they do not yet have enough survey responses, or the provider may not be part of the group of healthcare providers included in the survey.
Only outpatient providers are included in the survey. Healthcare providers who only work in the hospital or in urgent care are not included in the survey. Pathologists or researchers who do not provide direct care to patients do not have reviews.

About Me
- Assistant Attending Surgeon
As a gynecologic surgeon, I specialize in the care of women with ovarian, uterine (endometrial), cervical, vulvar, and vaginal cancer. I have extensive training in minimally invasive surgical approaches, including robotic-assisted procedures, that can help patients recover faster with shorter hospital stays and less pain. I also am experienced in performing extensive open surgeries for patients with advanced and recurrent cancer.

At Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, I work closely with a multidisciplinary team of specialists, including radiation oncologists, medical oncologists, and pathologists, to create an individualized plan for each patient. In my practice, I see many women who are at a high risk for gynecologic cancer and would like to pursue risk-reducing surgery. Whether a patient is at risk for developing gynecologic cancer or has received a diagnosis, I am committed to providing compassionate care as we navigate diagnosis, treatment, and ultimately, survivorship.
When I am not in the clinic or the operating room, I am conducting research on biomarkers for ovarian and cervical cancer, the genetic drivers of rare gynecologic cancers, and novel therapeutic targets. Our laboratory uses cutting-edge tools to study the mechanisms of ovarian, cervical, and endometrial cancer development. This information helps us to better understand how and why some cancers become resistant to treatment and discover new therapeutic targets.
I have received numerous awards for clinical excellence, surgical expertise, education, and research, including the William J. von Liebig and Sarnoff Research Foundation Fellowships, multiple teaching awards, the Robert F. Porges Honor Resident Award, and the Michael E. Burt Memorial Award for Clinical Excellence.
I am a member of the Society of Gynecologic Oncology (SGO), the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG), the Bellevue Obstetrics and Gynecology Society (BOGS), the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists (AAGL), and the American College of Surgeons (ACS).
