Get to Know Me

I am a medical oncologist with more than 15 years of experience whose practice is focused on gynecologic oncology. This includes ovarian cancer, uterine cancer, cervical cancer, and vulvar cancer.

I see patients at the Rockefeller Outpatient Pavilion in Manhattan and at MSK Monmouth, in New Jersey.

I first became interested in oncology as a medical student when I worked as part of the bone marrow transplant team. I was drawn to the close relationships that the oncologists developed with patients and their families.

Additionally, I suspected we were on the dawn of a new age in the management of cancers, and I wanted to be a part of this change. In fact, the changes I have seen over the course of my career have exceeded my expectations, with increasingly powerful and personalized tools to help care for people with cancer. Some of these include targeted therapy and immunotherapy. It has been very rewarding to see these advances result in positive outcomes for more patients.

In order to advance the care of people with gynecologic cancers, questions need to be answered through clinical research. At Memorial Sloan Kettering, we undertake a broad range of clinical trials that are designed to answer important questions. Our goal is to improve outcomes for patients at MSK and around the world.

I am devoted to caring for my patients and am readily available to them and their families. I understand that people have different views of and goals for their care. That’s why I work with my patients as a team. We make decisions together and I encourage questions and discussion every step of the way. My goal is to build trust and understanding through communication with each of my patients so that we can achieve the best results.

Disclosures

Members of the MSK Community often work with pharmaceutical, device, biotechnology, and life sciences companies, and other organizations outside of MSK, to find safe and effective cancer treatments, to improve patient care, and to educate the health care community. These activities outside of MSK further our mission, provide productive collaborations, and promote the practical application of scientific discoveries.

MSK requires doctors, faculty members, and leaders to report (“disclose”) the relationships and financial interests they have with external entities. As a commitment to transparency with our community, we make that information available to the public. Not all disclosed interests and relationships present conflicts of interest. MSK reviews all disclosed interests and relationships to assess whether a conflict of interest exists and whether formal COI management is needed.
