Get to Know Me

I am a board-certified gastroenterologist with special training in advanced endoscopic procedures for the diagnosis and treatment of gastrointestinal cancers. This includes:

I am an expert in the latest minimally invasive endoscopic techniques to treat early gastrointestinal cancers and complex pancreaticobiliary diseases.

I do endoscopy at Memorial Hospital and the David H. Koch Center for Cancer at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and see patients in the clinic at the Rockefeller Outpatient Pavilion in New York City.

I strongly believe in working closely with a team of different experts to offer the best care to patients. Together with doctors in medical oncology, radiation oncology, surgery, interventional radiology, pathology, and other specialties, I provide thorough treatment that is tailored to each patient.

I also value patient education and empowerment by prioritizing clear communication and shared decision making. My goal is to help patients fully understand their diagnoses and treatment options so that they can be active participants in their care.

My clinical research focuses on achieving the best results for patients with pancreatic and bile duct cancers. I especially focus on the use of endoscopic ultrasound to obtain information on mutations unique to the type of cancer each patient has been diagnosed with. This allows me to deliver effective, targeted care.

My other research interest is determining ways to reduce unexpected hospitalizations for infections of the bile duct, which would allow for cancer treatment to continue without interruptions.

Outside of work, I am a dancer and a certified yoga teacher.
