About Me

What I Do at MSK

I am a hematologic oncologist with expertise in the treatment and management of acute leukemia, myelodysplastic syndromes, and myeloproliferative neoplasms. Together with my fellow specialists on the Leukemia Service, we work to provide care that is guided not only by our patients’ individual needs but also by the latest treatment advances.

Patients often have questions about how effective a treatment might be and the side effects that could come with it. I communicate openly and honestly with my patients about what they can expect throughout their care journey. At a time of great distress in their lives, I want my patients to know that I will take the time to get to know them and work with them to deliver the best care.  My team and I monitor every patient closely and work to ensure their comfort every step of the way.

I am passionate about pursuing new treatment approaches for people with blood cancer. Research gives us the opportunity to do better than today’s best treatment strategies for our patients. This drives me to take part in clinical research that has the potential to improve patient outcomes and lower the number of people who will be impacted by blood cancer in the future.
