Get to Know Me

I am a medical oncologist who specializes in the treatment of patients with soft tissue and bone sarcomas. Sarcomas are rare tumors that affect individuals of all ages and can develop in almost every organ in the body.

At Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, we have a multidisciplinary team of physician-scientists, nurses, and patient support advocates who care for individuals with sarcoma. Our dedicated team is very familiar with and understands the nuances of these uncommon and challenging malignancies. This enables us to focus on the specific needs of each patient with an emphasis on personalized medicine that benefits from clinical and basic science research.

My research efforts are directly related to the clinical needs of my patients. I have a large clinical practice, I develop and run clinical trials that evaluate the use of new anticancer treatments, and I have a strong focus on laboratory research that strives to better understand the genetic origins of sarcoma. It is my mission to ensure that all patients who come to our clinics receive comprehensive and individualized care that is designed at the forefront of medicine.

I'm a sarcoma medical oncologist, which is a cancer doctor who specializes in sarcoma. This includes soft tissue sarcomas (such as Ewing sarcoma and rhabdomyosarcoma) and benign (not cancer) growths that are like sarcoma.
