Get to Know Me
I’m a leukemia specialist at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK), where I focus on caring for people with acute and chronic leukemia, myelodysplastic syndromes, and myeloproliferative neoplasms. I see patients at the David H. Koch Center for Cancer Care at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and at Memorial Hospital, MSK’s main hospital, in New York City.
My approach focuses on providing compassionate, personal care that balances the most effective treatments with quality of life. I work closely with patients to help them understand their diagnosis and options, and I support them through every step of their treatment journey. It is a privilege for me and my colleagues to be part of your team and we aim to provide the highest quality care while treating everyone with respect and professionalism.
In addition to clinical care, I lead research on new targeted therapies and combination treatments designed to improve outcomes in acute leukemia while reducing side effects. I’m especially interested in early-phase clinical trials that offer patients access to promising new drugs. My goal is to develop innovative treatments that overcome resistance and offer hope for patients with high-risk leukemia.
Outside of medicine, I enjoy traveling, staying active, and listening to podcasts. I’m also dedicated to mentoring trainees and contributing to the advancement of leukemia research and care.
I’m a leukemia specialist, which is a doctor with special training in diagnosing and treating leukemia (loo-KEE-mee-uh). This cancer starts in tissue that forms blood, such as bone marrow.
